During the Opening of School event Dana, Zelda, and Areah introduced the Blackboard Master Curriculum. This curriculum was developed to promote attainment of mastery in the use of Blackboard Learn. The goal of the curriculum is to aid teachers in developing the skills needed to implement truly differentiated learning across their classrooms.
All teachers who attain Mastery by April 30th of this calendar year will be positioned to be eligible to win their choice of either a Windows Surface 3 or Macbook Air. There will be a drawing at each of the OPSB direct run schools in which there are at least 5 teachers who attain the Mastery level using the attached framework.
We hope to give away 6 devices, one for each school. If you are a classroom teacher and you are using Blackboard, then connect with your peers to make certain they know about this. You will be qualified when you and four peers from your site are all qualified by April 30th. Drawings will be held before the close of school for this year.
We added Grammarly automated writing assessment tool to our Blackboard platform. All instructors and teaching assistants can use Grammarly to help evaluate student writing and to more efficiently provide students with rich feedback on grammar, usage, and style.
